Abstract

  • In April 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Padang Municipality was 2.50 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 109.26.
  • Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 10 expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group; clothing and footwear group; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group; health group; transportation group; recreation, sports, and culture group; education group; food and beverage/restaurant provision group; and personal care and other services group. Meanwhile, 1 group experienced y-on-y deflation, namely: information, communication, and financial services group.
  • The inflation rate in Padang Municipality in April 2025 month to month (m-to-m) was 1.82 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 2.41 percent.
