Abstract
· Inflation in Padang occurred because of a increase the index in all expenditure groups, the highest occurred in the food expenditure group by 2.00 percent. Inflation in Bukittinggi was also caused by an increase in the index in all the highest expenditure groups in the food expenditure group by 2.05 percent.
· The inflation rate rate of the calendar year until October 2018 in the City of Padang and the City of Bukittinggi was 2.19 percent and 1.73 percent respectively. Year on year inflation rate (October 2018 to October 2017) Padang City was 3.41 percent and Bukittinggi City was 2.43 percent.
